These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of makariwellness.com (the “Site”) and any information, tools, or scheduling links provided through it. The Site is operated by Natural Solutions Acupuncture Inc., doing business as Makari Wellness (“Makari Wellness”, “we”, “us”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Use of this Site

You may read, print, and share the Site’s pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to use the Site to break any law, to interfere with its operation or security, to scrape or republish its contents commercially, or to attempt access to any part of it that is not intended for public use. We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the Site at any time.

The Site is education, not medical advice

Everything on this Site — articles, condition pages, descriptions of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and functional-medicine-informed assessment — is general educational information. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by a licensed health care provider who knows your history.

Always talk with your physician or another qualified provider before starting, stopping, or changing any treatment, medication, herb, or supplement, and do not disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read here.

No practitioner–patient relationship from the Site

Reading this Site, emailing us, subscribing to the newsletter, or submitting a form does not create a practitioner–patient relationship. That relationship begins only when you are seen for an intake at one of our clinics (or in a scheduled telehealth consultation where permitted) and we agree to provide care. Please do not send confidential health information through website forms or ordinary email.

Medical emergencies

This Site is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency — including chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness or numbness, sudden vision loss, severe bleeding, or thoughts of harming yourself — call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately. If you are in crisis, you can also call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). We do not monitor website forms, email, or voicemail for urgent messages.

Appointments and scheduling

Appointments are booked through our scheduling partner, AcuBliss, at makariwellness.acubliss.app. Booking, intake forms, reminders, and payment handled in that portal are governed by AcuBliss’s own terms and privacy policy as well as ours. Requesting an appointment is a request; an appointment is confirmed when we confirm it. Please tell us as early as you can if you need to reschedule or cancel, so the time can be offered to someone else.

Telehealth

Where we offer consultations by phone or video, they are available only to people physically located in California at the time of the consultation, because our acupuncture license is issued by the State of California. Telehealth is not appropriate for every situation, and we may ask you to be seen in person instead. Hands-on care — acupuncture, Active Release Techniques, and other in-clinic treatment — is provided only at our Oceanside and San Diego locations.

Herbs, supplements, and dietary products

Chinese herbal formulas and nutritional supplements we discuss or recommend are dietary supplements. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Herbs can interact with prescription medication and are not suitable for everyone — tell us and your physician about everything you take, and tell us if you are pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive. Products purchased through a third-party dispensary (for example Fullscript) are sold and shipped by that company under its own terms.

No guarantee of results

Individual responses to acupuncture and herbal medicine vary. Nothing on this Site — including patient stories, testimonials, case descriptions, or descriptions of our protocols — is a promise, guarantee, or prediction of any particular result for you. Testimonials describe one person’s experience and are not typical of everyone.

Intellectual property

The text, images, diagrams, video, logos, and design of this Site are owned by Natural Solutions Acupuncture Inc. or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may quote short excerpts with clear attribution and a link. Any other reproduction, republication, or commercial use requires our written permission.

Third-party links and services

The Site links to and embeds services we do not control — including scheduling (AcuBliss), video (YouTube), maps (Google Maps), email (Mailchimp), supplement dispensaries, and review platforms. We link to them for convenience and do not endorse or take responsibility for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies.

Privacy

Our handling of information collected through the Site — including cookies and analytics — is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. Health information you give us as a patient in the course of care is handled under our clinical privacy practices, which are separate from and stricter than this website policy.

Limitation of liability

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Natural Solutions Acupuncture Inc. and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the Site or anything you read on it. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing here changes the professional duties we owe to our patients.

Indemnity

You agree to hold us harmless from claims and costs arising out of your misuse of the Site or your breach of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you agree to that venue.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its “Last updated” date, and it takes effect when posted. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
