Privacy Policy

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for https://makariwellness.com/. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by this web site. By visiting this site, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice. It will notify you of the following:

  1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the web site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
  2. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  3. The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  4. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Cookies

We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many Web sites, we use “cookies,” and we obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses this site. A number of companies offer utilities designed to help you visit Web sites anonymously. Although we will not be able to provide you with a personalized experience at this site if we cannot recognize you, we want you to be aware that these tools exist.

This website uses Google AdWords

This website uses the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our site. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed a task on our site, for example using the contact form to make an enquiry. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site in the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the http://www.makariwellness.com website. Of course, any data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Preferences page, and if you want to you can opt out of interest-based advertising entirely by cookie settings or permanently using a Chrome browser plugin.

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page.

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page.

If you feel that we are not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us immediately via telephone at 888.871.8889 or via Contact Us page.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

This website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary to make the site work (security, load balancing, remembering your cookie choice). Others are optional:

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics, delivered through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages people read, so we can improve the site. This tells us about traffic patterns — not who you are.
  • Advertising measurement. We use Google Ads conversion and remarketing tags so we can tell whether an ad led someone to the site, and so previous visitors may see our ads on Google and partner sites.

Your choice. The first time you visit, a cookie notice appears at the bottom of the screen. Advertising cookies stay off unless you choose Accept all. Analytics runs by default and turns off if you choose Decline. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie preferences” control in the bottom-left corner of any page. We store your choice in a cookie named vd_consent for 180 days. We honour Google Consent Mode v2, which means Google’s tags receive your choice before they set anything.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, set ad preferences on the Google My Ad Center page, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking all cookies may break parts of the site.

We do not use these tags to build health profiles, and we do not knowingly send health information to advertising platforms.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you, where it came from, why we collect it, and who we share it with;
  • Access a copy of that information;
  • Correct information that is inaccurate;
  • Delete information we hold about you, subject to exceptions — including medical records we are required by law to retain;
  • Opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising; and
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not refuse care, change your price, or reduce service quality because you exercised a privacy right.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not sell your personal information for money. When advertising cookies are enabled, the information those tags collect may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. Choosing Decline in the cookie notice — or using the “Cookie preferences” control — opts you out. We also honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal where your browser sends one.

To exercise any of these rights, email Michael@MakewellBeWell.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line, or write to Natural Solutions Acupuncture Inc., 2111 S. El Camino Real, Suite 301, Oceanside, CA 92054. We will verify your request — usually by confirming details we already hold — and respond within 45 days, and we will tell you if we need more time. An authorised agent may make a request for you with written permission.

Health records are separate. Information you give us as a patient during care is protected health information handled under our clinical privacy practices and California and federal health-privacy law, not under this website policy. Requests about your medical record go through the clinic, not this page.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. Minors are treated in the clinic only with a parent or guardian’s consent.
